What is STAC?

Slough Town Against Crime is an initiative aimed at reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in the town centre.

Who runs it?

STAC is run by a board of management with representatives from the council, the police and other town centre businesses.

What are the benefits of joining STAC?

By joining STAC a business can participate in the Radio Link scheme, the Exclusion Notice scheme and the sharing of photos and other information provided by the police.

What do members have to agree to?

Members of STAC have to sign the agreements to abide by the Operating Protocols and the Data Integrity Agreements. They must also agree to pay the annual subscription.

What will it cost to join STAC?

Members of STAC pay an annual subscription based on the size of their store.

Will STAC provide the radio?

Further information can be sought by contacting the STAC manager.

Who will train new members how to use the radio?

On joining you will be given a Radio Link users guide and someone from the police will attend and speak to you should you need further guidance.
