Who are STAC?
Slough Town Against Crime is a partnership working to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour within Slough town centre.
Launched in 2002, STAC undertakes this role by working with a number of organisations and businesses, including Slough Borough Council, Thames Valley Police, and over 50 business members from the town centre.
STAC has recently be re-awarded the Safer Business Award, in recognition of the team's work to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
What does STAC do?
As part of this, STAC operate an Exclusion Notice Scheme, banning persistant offenders from entering the premises of STAC members - more details about the scheme can be
found here.
Who can join?
STAC covers the town centre area of Slough - if you are a business owner who operates in this area and would like more information about joining, please get in touch. STAC has an information-sharing agreement with the police, who provide members with photographs of prolific offenders who are likely to be criminally active in the town centre. This, along with many other benefits of membership, make STAC a valuable resource in tackling business crime.
